Zhengzhou Open is the newest WTA Premier 700 event featured on the 2019 WTA Calendar. The newly upgraded tournament, taking place from 9-15 September in the historic city of Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, will feature some of the top stars of Women’s Tennis.

The $1 million prize money event, hosted at the Central Plains Tennis Center, will kick off the Asian swing and is one of nine WTA events now hosted in China, the only country to feature all categories of WTA tournaments.


Zhengzhou Open is held at Central Plains Tennis Center, the largest tennis facility under the patronage of the Henan Province Sports Bureau. The mission of the center is to promote tennis and deliver the best possible support facilities to host professional events with 6 indoor and 18 outdoor courts.

A 28-player singles main draw and a 16-team doubles main draw are held, all featuring best two-out-of-three set matches. A 32-player singles qualifying draw will be held for four main-draw entries.
